Quick Start

This quick start guide will walk you through installing and starting Lenses using Docker, followed by connecting Lenses to your Kafka cluster.

This is a local set up only. To connect to your Kafka clusters, see here.

By running the following command including the ACCEPT_EULA setting your are accepting the Lenses EULA agreement.

Run the following command:

terminal

wget https://lenses.io/preview -O docker-compose.yml
docker compose pull
ACCEPT_EULA=true docker compose up

Once the images are pulled and containers started, you can login here with admin/admin and explore.

Community login

It may take a few seconds for the agent to full boot and connect to HQ.

The quick start uses a docker compose file to:

Start Postgres, the Agent use Postgres as a backing store.

Start a single local Kafka Broker

Start a local Confluent Schema Registry

Start HQ and create an environment & agent key

Start Agent and to connect to Kafka, the Schema Registry and HQ.
